Foster, Bray officially take over at MHS

The Mathews County School Board officially welcomed its new administrative team to Mathews High School and adopted the division’s amended 2018-2019 budget during Tuesday night’s meeting in the MHS media center.

Alexis Foster was named the high school’s principal, while Lee Anne Bray was appointed assistant principal. Both had been appointed to their posts on an interim basis back in February, following the resignation of principal Dr. Toni Childress.

“On behalf of the Mathews County School Board, it is a privilege to announce the next principal and assistant principal of Mathews High School—Alexis Foster and Lee Anne Bray,” school board chairman Linda Hodges said at the conclusion of Tuesday’s meeting.
