Faery Festival to be held Aug. 4

A Faery Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 4, on Main Street in Gloucester.

The day kicks off at the Gloucester Library, Main Street Center, with free activities and displays from 10-11:30 a.m. Activities will be available from there down Main Street, with business owners and local artists pitching in to provide henna tattoos, face-painting, a costume contest, a pet-in-costume raffle, and a Faery Find game, a release stated.

Street performers will entertain visitors, and there will be games, prizes and freebies. In addition, the Gloucester Master Gardeners will be exhibiting and demonstrating Faery Gardens for those who might want to make their own when they get home.

Faery items available for purchase will include faery foods and soaps, faery crowns, ear adornments, faery trees, and other items.
