Evelyn Eriksen Walden, 78, of Deltaville, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at her home.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Walden, and her parents, Edward and Pearl Eriksen.

She is survived by her son, Danny Walden (Laurie); daughter, Cindy Fochtmann (Tim); her grandchildren, Jennifer, Holly, Danny Jr., Christina, Steven, Alex, and Drew. She had six great-grandchildren, and a beloved companion, her dog Bruiser.

Evelyn enjoyed reading, knitting, cooking, and gardening. She was considered an authority on birds and flowers; if we ever had a question on any type of wildlife or plant, she had the answer. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial service for Evelyn will be held at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Saluda, Sunday, June 9, at 2 p.m. Fellowship will follow at Deltaville Community Association in Deltaville.
