EDWARD HAMULTON BURRESS

Edward Hamulton Burress of Gloucester, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022. He was born on March 21, 1949. He was 73 years old. He was predeceased by his parents, Vernon Burress and Mary Ruth West Williams, and his son-in-law, Donnie McGee. He is survived by the love of his life for past 53 years, Nancy Givans Burress; his children, Lisa Carol McGee and Amanda Kaye Eubank (Brian); two granddaughters, Katelyn Nicole Eubank and Courtney Renee McGee, and future grandson-in-law, Dalton Hunt; his sisters, Alice Smith (Gordon), Vivian Foster (Jerry), Laurie Greisz (Tommy), Michelle Burress, and brothers, Dean Raye Burress (Donna), Craig Burress (Johnette); several nieces, nephews, and cousins; his aunt and uncle, Joyce and Charles Belvin.

A memorial service will be held at Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester, on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association and the Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1417, Gloucester, Virginia 23061. Eddie loved hunting, fishing, racing his speed boat, “The Miss Katelyn.” He was a member of the Top Knot Hunt Club, the Sons of the Confederate Veterans, and VODBA, “Virginia Outlaw Drag Boat Association.”
