Mrs. Edith Berry Morgan, 83, of Mathews, Virginia, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Morgan; her parents, Alexander and Ethel Berry; her sister, Mary Berry, and brothers, Thomas Berry, Walter Berry, Leroy Berry, Stanley Berry, and Winnie Berry.

She leaves to cherish her memory her brother, William “Billy” Berry; sister, Christine Evans; five daughters, Sandra Brooks of Mathews, Rita Ware (Anthony), Cheryl Smith (Morris), all of Gloucester, Va., Anne Bannister (Amaury) of Washington, D.C., and Dr. Stacy Morgan-LaFrance (Michael) of Daytona Beach, Fla.; two sons, Kenneth Morgan (Judy) of Newport News, Va., and Stephen Morgan (Renee) of Gloucester; six grandchildren, Celita Morgan, Michael Brooks (Kelly), Kenneth Morgan Jr., Stephen Anthony Morgan (Chelsea), Cassandra Morgan and Christopher Morgan; eight great-grandchildren; two special friends, Polly Morgan and niece Della Brooks, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The funeral service will be private for family and close friends and will be held on Dec. 3, 2021 at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Mathews County. COVID protocols will be implemented/masks required. Private viewing–Family Only.
