The Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail is partnering with Gloucester County Parks & Recreation to host a volunteer Earth Day litter cleanup event from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Beaverdam Park.
Volunteers will meet at the amphitheater adjacent to the parking lot for orientation and check-in. Gloves, grabbers and trash bags will be provided. Participants should wear sturdy footwear, dress for outdoor weather conditions and bring water.
The event will happen rain or shine but will be canceled if more extreme weather occurs. Visit the Captain John Smith Chesapeake National Historic Trail Facebook page for updates.
