Holiday closures will affect publication of the last Gazette-Journal of 2018 and the first paper of 2019.

Christmas falls on a Tuesday, and the newspaper office will be closed.

While the paper will be printed and delivered as usual on Wednesday, deadlines for the Dec. 27 issue are as follows:

Real estate ads, 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21; classified and legal ads, church news, marriages, births, and engagement notices, 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 24; all other material, noon on Dec. 24.

Jan. 1, 2019 also falls on Tuesday, and our office will be closed.

Deadlines for the Jan. 3 issue are similar to those for Dec. 27, except the final cutoff will be at 3 p.m. Monday. For more information, call 804-693-3101.  ...
