David L. Orr, 80, of Gloucester Point, Virginia, departed this life to be with Jesus on Dec. 29, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank L. Orr and Margaret Shinliever. He is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Brian (Miriam), Tracy (Tony) and Valerie (Patrick); grandchildren, Timothy, Gregory, Stephanie, Jim, Brittny, Ryan and Libbie, and great-grandchildren, including Courtney and Hailey who lived with him.

Dave proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and worked for the U.S. government as an electronics technician in broadcasting. He loved the outdoors and spent his entire life fishing, hunting, camping and boating. He attended LightHouse Assembly of God in Hayes, Virginia. A service honoring his life will be held at the church at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8.
