On Oct. 19, 2021, Dallas Don Adams Jr. of Gloucester, died at his home with family by his side. He was 78. Dallas was born on April 5, 1943 in Martin, Tennessee, to the late Dallas Don Adams Sr. and Rachel Pearl McClain Adams. After 32 years with Newport News Shipbuilding as a pipefitter, he retired. Dallas is survived by his wife, Linda R Adams; children, Judith Lynn Cheek (Robert), Dallas Don Adams III, and Chester Scott Adams (Becky). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and his brother, John McClain Adams (Sue). A graveside service, conducted by his son-in-law, Robert L. Cheek Jr., was held at Rosewell Memorial Garden Cemetery on Oct. 23, 2021 at 2 p.m. In memory of Dallas, contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011.
