Carol and John McCormack will present their Road Scholar trip to the World War II D-Day beaches in France, during the Mathews Maritime Foundation’s speaker meeting next Thursday, Feb. 21. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the MMF Museum on Main Street and the public is invited to attend.

Also available for viewing during the presentation will be a painting made during the D-Day landing, as well as some original D-Day landing charts stamped “TOP SECRET.” 

Carol is a retired teacher and works at Mathews Memorial Library as the head of youth services. John is a retired vice president with Westinghouse and a consultant with Yukon, which is an international trading company. ...
