County board to hold strategic planning retreat

The Gloucester County Board of Supervisors will hold a strategic planning retreat on Jan. 7 and 8. The retreat will be held from noon until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 7 and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 8 at the Daffodil Gardens Community Room, 5954 Garden Grove Lane, Gloucester.

No action will be taken by the board of supervisors during the retreat, according to Gloucester’s County Administrator Brenda Garton. “There are no specific topics planned,” Garton said. “The work of the strategic planning will be to generate what the board agrees are important focus areas for the next three or so years.”

So, basically, she said the strategic planning meeting will be held to set priorities/guidelines for the staff’s focus and work over the next few years. The public is welcome to attend. ...
