Come for the wine, stay for the music

Attendees might come for the wine at the 10th annual Gloucester Wine Festival, but everyone stays for the exceptional music, according to Gloria Williams, executive director of the Gloucester Chamber of Commerce. 

The event, hosted by the chamber, is being held in the gardens at Brent and Becky’s, Ware Neck, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21.

For entertainment, event organizers have again secured one of Hampton Roads’ best-loved bands, SlapNation, and this year they have added Kilmarnock’s Mercy Creek, Williams said, thanks to the That’s Entertainment Presenting Sponsor, Chesapeake Bank.

“This is a community celebration and music pairs perfectly with Virginia wine,” she said. “We’re thrilled to feature these exciting bands at the wine festival, thanks to Chesapeake Bank, which provided the That’s Entertainment Sponsorship to secure this amazing musical act.”
