All courts and county offices in Gloucester and Mathews will close at noon next Wednesday, Nov. 27, and remain closed Thursday and Friday, Nov. 28 and 29, for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Gloucester libraries will close at 2 p.m. on Wednesday and remain closed Thursday and Friday, with normal hours over the weekend. Mathews Memorial Library will close at noon Wednesday and remain closed through the weekend, reopening on Monday for normal hours.

Schools in both counties will be closed Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, although professional staff in Gloucester will work a half day on Wednesday.

DMV customer service centers will be closed Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for the holiday.

All post offices, ABC stores, and waste facilities in the two counties will be closed on Thanksgiving Day only. ...
