CIP requests available for public review

Gloucester County’s five-year Capital Improvement Plan requests document is now available for public review and comment on the county’s website, www.gloucesterva.info. Printed copies of the document are available at both public libraries and the county administration and finance offices.

The CIP is one of the most significant planning processes for Gloucester County and Gloucester County Public Schools, according to county spokesperson Christi Lewis. The plan identifies capital needs over a specified timeframe and is a planning tool for major facility and infrastructure investments.

Lewis said the plan sets forth future needs and priorities with anticipated funding sources, growth and the community’s ability to pay. “It serves as a blueprint for the future of the county, schools and community and is an important tool for ensuring efficient use of limited financial resources,” she said.
