The weekend ahead in Williamsburg includes Chowderfest on Friday and Noktoberfest on Sunday. Both will take place under a tent on the lawn of the Arts Museums of Colonial Williamsburg.
The two events are sponsored by CultureFix, a local nonprofit that “strives to improve Greater Williamsburg’s cultural offerings for residents and visitors” a release said. Find it at www.culture-fix.org.
Chowderfest is from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Friday, with tickets including endless chowder from local restaurants and two drink tickets. Live entertainment is planned.
Noktoberfest is Sunday from noon-4 p.m. and includes craft beers, pretzels, and live entertainment, with German food available for purchase.A ticket covering both events is $50 through culturefix.org.
A third weekend offering, on Saturday, is a free 75-minute yoga session at 9 a.m. under the tent at the art museums. A free community drum circle will follow.
