Chesapeake Bank and Chesapeake Wealth Management presented a $10,000 sponsorship check to the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society for its Mad Hatter Gala & Auction, which was held on Saturday.

Vice president and commercial loan officer Steve Callis made the presentation to GMHS Board of Directors’ member Dr. Richard Crowder.  Representatives from Chesapeake Bank, Chesapeake Wealth Management and GMHS were on hand for the presentation. 

“Chesapeake Bank has had the pleasure of having the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society as a customer since the early ’90s,” Callis said. “I personally have worked with GMHS through a banking relationship for 14 years and also served on their board for two years. We appreciate all that GMHS does for our community, and in return, we like to give back and support this entity’s mission in improving life for all animals by providing temporary shelter, compassionate care and community support and education.&rdqu...
