Catherine Hall Melton, age 67, of Saluda, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2021. Cathy was born on Oct. 10, 1954 to the late Thomas Linwood Hall Sr. and Catherine Bonniville Hall. Cathy will always be remembered for her love of country living, being an animal lover, especially horses, and of course, how kind and caring of a person she was. Cathy is survived by her siblings, Carolyn Heywood, Sheila Horsley (Dennis) and James “Frank” Hall Sr., and a special great-niece, Lilly. She is also survived by her beloved dogs, “Itsy” and “Bella.” A funeral service, conducted by Pastor Bill West, was held at Hogg Funeral Home on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021, at 12 p.m. The family received friends beginning at 11 a.m. Interment followed at Rosewell Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In memory of Cathy, contributions may be made to the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society, P.O. Box 385, Gloucester, Va. 23061.
