Whether they want to feature a football or a catcher’s mitt, a beloved pet, or a favorite spot in nature, Melissa Brooks of Mb Photography Co likes to tell the story of high school seniors as they prepare to graduate and start their adult lives.

“I’m trying to build my senior clientele,” said Brooks.

Her goal is to always make her senior sessions “a special, memorable thing.”

Favorite outdoor spots for these photos include the beach, especially Haven Beach in Mathews, and Machicomoco State Park in Hayes.

Brooks also likes “documenting families in the moment” and “documenting the story behind the family.”
