Board to consider changes to stormwater management

The Gloucester County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing Tuesday night in the colonial courthouse to consider an ordinance amending the stormwater management portion of county code. The public hearing will begin at 7 o’clock and the board’s regular meeting will start at 6:30.

According to a county notice, the primary purpose of the proposed amendment is to allow Gloucester County to elect to use certain tiered-water quantity control standards based on the percentage of impervious cover in the watershed for determining the water quantity technical criteria. This would be applicable to a land disturbance equal to or greater than 2,500 square feet, but less than one acre.

It would also allow acceptance of signed and sealed plans by a licensed professional in lieu of a local review of the stormwater management plan for any land disturbing activity of 2,500 square feet or more, but less than one acre.
