It is with great sadness that the family of Arthur E. Blevins announces his peaceful passing on Friday, Jan. 14, 2022, at the age of 84.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 36 years, Marilyn A. Blevins; his sister, Nonnie Cooke, as well as his children, Tim Blevins (Joyce), Donna Palmer (Warren,) and Lori Bunn (Michael), and 10 grandchildren, Sim Blevins (Lindsay), Kristina Blevins, Robyn Cooper (Tony), Ashley Desper (Erik), Matthew Bunn (Olivia), Jamie Nesselrodt (Brannon), Amanda Plymel (Chris), Casey Pisarek (Chris), Duston Blevins (Christine), Kayla Staples, and 18 great-grandchildren.

Arthur was recently preceded in death by his son, Steven A. Blevins.

Arthur was born in Powhatan, Va., to the late Early and Pearlie (Ayers) Blevins. He was one of 14 children and was a lifelong resident of New Kent/James City County.

In his younger years, Arthur loved hunting, fishing, and doing auto body and fender work. Later in life, he enjoyed cooking and refurbishing computers. He also loved going to a good yard sale and was an avid collector. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him so dearly.

A celebration of Arthur and Steven’s life will be held for family and friends on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022, at the Piankatank Community League, 11888 Harcum Road, Gloucester, Va., from 1-4 p.m.
