Art imitating life

An artist paints Gloucester’s Roane Building on the court green; the artist himself is a work of art by sculptor Seward Johnson. “Monet, Our Visiting Artist,” above, is one of 10 life-size sculptures populating the Gloucester Court House area. The sculptures were unveiled on June 2 as part of the monthlong Gloucester Arts Festival, which concludes this Sunday with the free U.S. Fleet Forces Band. The statues will remain where they are through August.
