Are you ready if a hurricane hits?

With hurricane season fast approaching, Dominion Energy encourages customers to be prepared for impending storms and potential power outages.

Hurricane season begins June 1 and Dominion Energy has created a checklist for customers to help them get ready in case of a storm. The company also regularly makes its own preparations to minimize outages and outage times during weather events.

“One very important point to stress is making a plan if you or someone you know relies on electronic medical equipment,” said Dominion spokesperson Janell Hancock. “While we do our best to notify customers with these conditions ahead of a storm so they can prepare, we know there are often many customers who run into trouble when power outages strike and they aren’t able to use their equipment.”
