Ann Ruth Oliver Nuttall of Ware Neck, died on Friday, Oct. 29, 2021, at Walter Reed Convalescent Center in Gloucester at the age of 98. Ann was born on Jan. 15, 1923 to the late Benjamin L. Oliver and Elizabeth Larkin Oliver. Ann was known as the neighbors’ neighbor; she was always ready to sweep a neighbor’s porch or help out in any way with their yard tasks. By 7 a.m. sharp, Ann could be found in her yard tending to her flower beds. She also loved her home, family and cooking. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, James Madison Nuttall Jr.; son, David Clayton; her siblings, Leonard, Monroe, Benjamin, Cleveland and Estelle. Ann is survived by her son, Robert Clayton; her sister, Nellie Grant, with whom she was very close, and her family, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Nov. 4, 2021, from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. at Beulah Baptist Church, followed by a chapel service starting at 12 conducted by Pastor Tom Cohick.
