Allen William Smith Sr., 60, of Bohannon, Va., went to his heavenly home on Nov. 24, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marie Smith, and son, Larry Smith. Allen is survived by his wife of 41 years, Phyllis; son, Allen Jr.; daughters, Amy (Tim) and Angie (Louis); nine grandchildren, and sister, Linda Ruckman.

Allen spent the early part of his life driving trucks but his passion has always been working on the water, from fishing to crabbing, he loved it all. He was a member of Shacklefords Hunt Club for over 20 years, and looked forward to being out in the woods every fall. He was a friend to many and enjoyed talking to people everywhere he went. Allen will be missed by many. May he find peace in Heaven and keep his arms around us here until we meet again.

The family received friends at the funeral home on Monday, Nov. 29, 2021, from 6:30-8 p.m. Funeral services were on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Andrews Funeral Home, Gloucester, Va. Burial will be in Gloucester Point Cemetery. Masks were required for entering the funeral home.
