The Public Services and the Social Development committees of the Abingdon Ruritan Club teamed up this week to donate comfort cases to The Avalon Center. Three cases were donated (photo below): one for infants to 2 years of age, one for children ages 3-10 years old, and a third for children from 11 to teen. These items are designed to meet the needs of new clients receiving services from Avalon Center. Avalon Center is a regional nonprofit that works to end domestic and sexual violence through prevention, education, shelter and support services.
