4 hearings on Tuesday’s Gloucester BOS agenda

The Gloucester Board of Supervisors will hold four public hearings during Tuesday’s virtual meeting, starting at 7 p.m. The first public hearing will consider a Right of Way agreement between Gloucester County and Dominion Energy.

Dominion is seeking an underground easement across county property along Guinea Road. The agreement would allow Dominion the right of way to replace overhead lines with underground facilities to improve service reliability in the area.

There will be a public hearing on a conditional use permit application by the Machen Family Properties LLC to allow 137.64 acres of land to continue to be used as a Utility-Scale Solar Energy Facility.

Another public hearing will be held regarding the franchise agreement between Cox Communications and Gloucester County. The current agreement expires in March. This agreement focuses solely on cable television and doesn’t include broadband.
