2,000+ take part in Comix Con

More than 2,000 guests took part in Saturday’s Comix Con at the Gloucester Library, Main Street Center, looking for comics while taking part in games, trivia contests and other activities.

Saturday was the first in-person Comix Con the library has held since 2019. The event was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic and last year’s Comix Con was held virtually. Gloucester Library’s Adult Programs Coordinator Lisa Thomas said it was the first time the event was really back—with 2,106 in attendance.

The event featured stormtroopers from the 501st Legion, Old Dominion Daleks, the Clan McCool Band and Jersey’s Card and Comics. Silent auctions and raffles for Legos and comics were also held during the day. Even Daffodil Queen Stephanie Riedell and Little Miss Daffodil Emerson Byrd were in attendance.
