Thirteen wineries will be featured at Saturday’s Gloucester Wine Festival, which will be held on the grounds of Brent and Becky’s Bulbs, Ware Neck. More than 2,000 people are expected to attend what is anticipated to be the largest turnout for the annual event, now in its sixth year. The wine festival will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“The wine festival is a celebration of a growing industry in Virginia, and we are proud to host 13 Virginia wineries from all over the commonwealth right here in Gloucester,” said Gloria Williams, executive director of the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce, host organization for the festival.

“We have over a thousand tickets accounted for, and the busiest sales days ahead of us,” Williams said Wednesday morning. “The crisp and sunny forecast is certainly working in our favor, and the momentum is growing.
