19th Street Band comes to Flat Iron Crossroads

The 19th Street Band will perform at 6:30 p.m. Saturday on the indoor stage at Flat Iron Crossroads in Gloucester.

Guests are welcome to arrive when the doors open at 5:30 p.m. for dinner with the Pull’n Seafood food truck and beverages at the FIX Bar. Tickets are $20 and are available online at flatironcrossroads.com. Children under 10 are free.

Characterized by high energy and strong vocal harmonies, The 19th Street Band brings together a constellation of Americana, country, and rock, with a taste of punk, said a press release. Band members include vocalists Caolaidhe Davis on guitar and harmonica, Meghan Davis on fiddle and mandolin, and Greg Hardin on bass, along with Patty Dougherty on drums.

The group’s eclectic gypsy-rock spirit, with its clever turns of phrase and unexpected syncopation, “literally leaps from the stage and engages the crowd in the music,” said the release. Having performed over 200 shows a year for the past eight years, the band has performed across the U.S., in Ireland, and in the United Kingdom and has opened for such country music stars as Rodney Atkins, Craig Morgan, and Church Mead. Its newest album, “Diamond in the Rough,” is being featured on radio programs in Ireland, Canada, Europe, and the U.S.
