Yorktown to hold Military Appreciation Weekend

As part of its celebration of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, the Watermen’s Museum will hold its Yorktown Military Appreciation Weekend this coming weekend, June 9-11. Activities will feature reenactments, live music and more.
The weekend kicks off at 6 p.m. Friday with a lecture at the Watermen’s Museum titled “A Question of Religious Freedom: the 1773 Baptist Preacher Trial.” Saturday and Sunday will feature reenactors, cannon-firing displays, vendors and educational storytelling.
