Writing group to hold workshop: “Be a Rock Star at PR”

Chesapeake Bay Writers will sponsor the workshop “How to Be a Rock Star at PR” by Alice Osborn, following a 6 p.m. dinner on Wednesday, June 20, at Olivia’s in the Village, Main Street, Gloucester.

With the large numbers of books published daily, it can be difficult for authors to find their audiences, said a press release. Osborn, a singer/songwriter, editor, poet and writing coach, will show writers how to develop and promote their brand.

Osborn is a Pushcart Prize nominee and a board member of North Carolina Writers’ Network, North Carolina Poetry Society, and North Carolina Songwriters Co-op. Her work has appeared in the News and Observer, The Broad River Review, The Pedestal Magazine, Soundings Review, and numerous journals and anthologies. She is also the musician-in-residence for the Western Wake (N.C.) Farmers’ Market.

The workshop is open to the public. To sign up, visit www.chesapeakebaywriters.org. For more information, e-mail Susan Williamso...
