Winter Lantern Festival begins Nov. 13

The Winter Lantern Festival, featuring a display of handmade, traditional Chinese lanterns, will illuminate Jamestown Settlement beginning on Thursday, Nov. 13, at 2110 Jamestown Road, Williamsburg.
People are invited to walk through hundreds of handcrafted Chinese lanterns made with modern LED lights from 5-10 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through Dec. 28.
Each lantern tells a story, depicting Chinese legends and lore, as well as the beauty of nature, said a press release.
“The Winter Lantern Festival is truly a cultural bridge between East and West, bringing traditional Chinese culture to Jamestown through various forms of art,” said Yu Wang, chief artist at Kaleido Arts & Entertainment Group, which is providing the show.
