WILSON CAMPBELL

Wilson Campbell, 84, of Gloucester, passed peacefully on May 18, 2022.

He was a native of Gloucester and was a member of The First United Baptist Church. He retired from the Naval Weapons Station after working for 26 years. He worked part-time with Gloucester-Mathews Gazette-Journal.

Survivors include: spouse, Cheryln E. Campbell; daughters, C. Renee Ward, Bessie CarMichael, Evelyn Ward, Cheryln D. Carter, Emma Johnson, Luebertha Campbell, Valerie Campbell-Spady, Yasmin Campbell; sons, Wilson Campbell Jr., James Campbell. He was blessed with 37 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by parents, Joseph Campbell and Lueberta Campbell; his siblings, Joseph, Frank, Troy, Walter, Jim, Robert; daughters, Estella Cook, Jeanette Campbell; a son, Randy Campbell.

The family will receive family/friends from 9-11 a.m. Friday, May 27, at The First United Baptist Church, Gloucester, and his homegoing service will follow. Burial will be held at the church cemetery.
