Widows of Gloucester and Mathews County will sponsor a public screening of the film “War Room” from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 9, at Gloucester Library, 6920 Main Street, Gloucester.
According to a press release, “War Room” is one of several films created by pastor and filmmaker Alex Kendricks that “inspire, uplift, encourage and restore.”
The event is a fundraiser to help pay for the cost of transportation for a women’s trip, said the release, quoting 1 Timothy 5:3, “Give proper recognition to those widows who are in need.”
The cost is $7 per person, with snacks and drinks available for commission.
