Volunteers lend a Helping Hand in Gloucester

Well over 100 youth and adult volunteers came from as far away as Tennessee and North Carolina to help make repairs to 25 Gloucester residents’ homes.

The Helping Hands Missions Camp, in its 15th year of serving the community, is out and about this week braving extreme temperatures to be the “hands and feet of Jesus.”

The group of 64 campers and over 50 adult volunteers are staying at Providence Baptist Church, Ordinary, where they gather each evening for a time of fellowship and prayer after spending the majority of the days out serving the community. Various projects include building handicapped accessible ramps, repairing fences and other home improvement tasks.
