VMFA to hold free museum-wide event April 12

The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts will host a free museum-wide public event from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, April 12, at 200 N. Arthur Ashe Boulevard, Richmond. “See Yourself Here: VMFA Community Celebration” will mark the museum’s 90th anniversary with live music, performances, activities, food trucks, and more, said a press release. The festivities will take place inside the museum and outdoors in the Robins Sculpture Garden. VMFA tote bags will be given to the first 2,000 attendees, and complimentary treats and bottled water will be available to all visitors. Performers include Choy Wun Lion Dance Troupe, Counterpoint by the Richmond Jazz Society, DJ Ray-Ray, Ezibu Muntu African Dance, hip-hop line dancing with Kernel Patton, The Outcasts Big Band, and Virginia State University’s Trojan Explosion Marching Band.
