Village Art offers regular oil painting classes, private party painting sessions, and at-home painting kits at the gallery, located at 6670 Main Street, Gloucester. In addition, member artists have original works for sale on-site.

Those looking for regular, ongoing classes have a choice of Gloucester native Kelly Richards, who teaches a beginner’s oil and acrylic painting class from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mondays; New York native Jennifer McClain, who offers watercolor classes from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Wednesday; or European-born Renate Bumgarner, who offers classes for both beginning and advanced students from 1-4 p.m. every Thursday.

Richards’ Pop in & Paint experience provides a freestyle, do-it-yourself environment, with the student working on a piece of their own choice at their own pace while receiving instruction.
