Outlaw music on tap at Opry

Virginia’s Li’l Ole Opry will bring out the outlaw in everyone on Saturday, when its performers pay tribute to the greats of Classic Southern Rock and Roll and Outlaw Country. The show begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Harry M. Ward Auditorium at Mathews High School. Doors open at 7 o’clock. The house band, Shades of Country, and all of the Opry singers will be featured, along with some special guests. They will offer their favorite songs by country, rock and crossover artists such as Waylon, Trace Adkins, The Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Charlie Daniels Band, Jesse Colter, Gretchen Wilson and many others. Guest lead guitarist Johnny Ruehrmund and guest singer Ed Wade will join band and cast members on stage.
