Highway work in Gloucester and Mathews this week will include guardrail repair today from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. on Route 616 (Belroi Road) in Gloucester, near the intersection with Route 17 business (Main Street). This work will involve one-way alternating traffic.
In Mathews, a bridge inspection is set for today on Route 3 at Burke Mill Stream; and a bridge inspection is planned Friday at North End Branch on Route 14.
Ongoing work includes bridge rehab work on Route 17 southbound at the Dragon Run Bridge, connecting Gloucester and Mathews counties.
