The Mathews High School girls’ tennis program will be co-hosting a United States Tennis Association tennis tournament for girls and boys ages 18 and under beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday on the Mathews tennis courts. The format will be round robin set play in singles and doubles.

“We’re excited to bring an event like this to our courts and the county. The more playing exposure the girls get, the more their game will improve as well as their enjoyment of the sport,” said Mathews coach Jon Hatch. “Hopefully this will catch on and grow over time.”
