The U13 Swordfish Baystars indoor soccer team started the season with a pair of wins against the Reign. They won, 3-2, on the futsal court and 4-2 on the indoor court.
Melanie Mueller scored one goal in the first game and earned a hat trick in the second. Greylyn Sewell and Charlotte Small each had one goal in the first game and Madelyn Grey had a goal in the second.
Aubrey Lord had two assists and Sewell had one on the day. Peyton King was a playmaker upfront with Grey and Mueller. Defense was held down by Carley Phelps, Aubrey Lord and Sewell. Keeper Riley Gale had a remarkable day in net, saving 16 shots in just the first game.
