Two shootings investigated in York County

The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance as it investigates two recent shootings in York County.

At 10:41 p.m. on Sunday, York-Poquoson deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Drew Road in the Williamsburg area of York County.

There they found a 15-year-old male from James City County suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.

On Dec. 9 at 10:08 p.m., York-Poquoson deputies were dispatched to an armed robbery at the 7-Eleven in the 8600 block of Route 17.

As deputies were en route, dispatchers advised that there was one victim inside the store with a gunshot wound. That victim was a male store clerk who was in stable condition as of Monday.

Two offenders entered the business and one had a handgun and demanded money from the clerk.
