Two arrested in auto theft case

The Gloucester Sheriff’s Office has charged two persons in connection with the June 3 robbery at Auto Max in Ordinary and is still seeking at least two other suspects, according to GSO Capt. John Schick Jr.

Deputies responded to the car dealership after a citizen reported hearing an alarm at the business and seeing several subjects onsite at about 5 a.m., according to Schick.

He said the first deputy to arrive in the area of Auto Max saw vehicles leaving the scene. One vehicle was pursued until it crashed at the foot of the Coleman Bridge.

The driver of the wrecked car, Rodriquez R. Lynch, 18, of Norfolk was taken into custody and has been charged with the felonies of breaking and entering Auto Max, possessing burglary tools, stealing a motor vehicle, wearing a mask to conceal his identity and failing to stop for a law enforcement officer.

Lynch was also charged with two misdemeanor counts of reckless driving and the misdemeanor of driving without a driver’s license.
