The Mathews High School baseball and softball teams held their Pink Out games on Tuesday afternoon, honoring those who have died in the community, those who have survived, and those who are currently struggling with cancer. The observance was held before the start of the two teams’ games with Middlesex, as Mathews players all wore pink shirts under their game jerseys in the activity organized by MHS softball player and sophomore Emily Coons. Unfortunately for Mathews, both teams fell to the visiting Chargers.
