The Tidewater Oyster Gardeners’ Association will hold its fall float sale from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 18 at Camp Kekoka, 1083 Boys Camp Road, Kilmarnock.
The sale includes a variety of oyster cages and devices. Hats, shirts, aprons, and other TOGA logo materials will be on sale as well. To ensure your float order is ready, order by Oct. 1. Descriptions of floats and devices can be found at www.oystergardener.org/fall-float-sale.
Vendors will be on hand selling triploid and diploid spat. Over the past three years, demand for floats has been very high. As a result, this year we are also inviting vendors to sell their floats and equipment.
This is intended to help walk-ups and those who did not order by the deadline, those looking for different style floats, and those looking for tools and supplies TOGA does not sell.
Purchasing a TOGA float requires current membership. You may order up to three wire floats plus two spat tubes total, including build-your-own purchases.
