Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism will host The Full Hike, a 9.5-mile trek from one end of Beaverdam Park to the other, beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20.

Participants arrive at the main entrance and are shuttled to the park’s Fary’s Mill Road entrance, and they’ll make their own way back. Those taking part are encouraged to bring water and snacks, wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather.

The registration fee is $5 and the deadline to register is Saturday, Jan. 13.

YOUTH SOCCER: Signups are underway for the Rugrats, Looney Tunes, Juniors and Senior soccer for upcoming spring seasons. For ages 4-11, the season lasts from late February through early May. For ages 12-14, the season runs from mid-March through mid-May. Practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays and games on Saturdays at Ark and

Abingdon parks, and possibly some other localities for the older kids. The registration fee is $45 if registered by Jan. 21 or $50 Jan. 22 through Feb. 4.
