The Full Hike through Beaverdam to be held March 12

Are you feeling a little adventurous? Want to see if you can go the distance? Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism may have something for you.

On the morning of Saturday, March 12, Gloucester PRT is inviting people to take part in The Full Hike—a 9.5-mile hike from one end of Beaverdam Park to the other.

Beginning at 9 a.m., participants will meet at the park’s main entrance (8687 Roaring Springs Road). From there they will be shuttled to the Fary’s Mill Road entrance where they will take the multi-use trail to make it back to the main entrance.

This is a self-guided hike. Those taking part are invited to bring food and water, dress for the weather and wear rugged shoes. The fee is $5 (to cover the cost of the shuttle) and the deadline to register is Saturday.
