Teachers for Tomorrow

The Mathews County Public Schools’ Teachers for Tomorrow is one of the programs included in the Virginia School Boards Association’s 27th annual VSBA Showcases for Success directory, highlighting successful K-12 programs in Virginia’s public schools. The program, which supports high school juniors and seniors in their interest in becoming classroom teachers, was reinstated by Mathews High School teacher Cynthia Hayes. Here, MHS junior Ethan Deptola instructs a group of eighth grade math students at Thomas Hunter.
