Rappahannock Community College’s Rappahannock Institute for Lifelong Learning has announced two upcoming classes for the area. Become certified for two years in standard first aid, CPR and AED, and EpiPen administration on Oct. 5, 19 and 26 from 2-4 p.m., with each session at the Glenns campus. Instructor Seth Craig will cover adult, child and infant CPR with AED, first aid, stop-the-bleed training and EpiPen use. The cost is $45. “Foundations of Our Region: Historic Brickmaking at Fairfield” will be held on Oct. 14 from 1-3 p.m. at Fairfield Archaeological Park in Gloucester. This immersive experience will explore how bricks were made and used in 17th- and 18th-century buildings and the history of brickmaking as an essential trade. Participants are welcome to observe or take part in the brickmaking experience. The instructors are Dr. David Brown, Thane Harpole and Kenneth Tappan. The cost is $35.
