Talk to examine John Page/George Tucker friendship

A talk on the friendship between John Page of Rosewell and St. George Tucker of Bermuda is the subject of the Gloucester Historical Society talk at 2 p.m. Sunday in the historic courthouse.
A notice for the meeting which is free and open to the public, said that shortly after his arrival in 1771, Tucker struck up a friendship with Page that lasted more than three decades.
Dr. Phillip Hamilton, professor of history at Christopher Newport University, “will focus on how their political and intellectual relationship came to be stitched together” as the Revolution broke out and the new republic formed, the notice said....
